Ms. Hannah Leigh went to the doctor's office yesterday for her 2 month check up. Her newest stats are 11.2 pounds and 23 inches. Our baby girl is growing. She has grown a whole 4 inches and weighs 4 more pound since she was born. Amazing! Well, I had built up so much anxiety about her getting 5 shots, thinking that was going to be the worst part. I sat in the waiting room to be escorted to the chambers when another lady was waiting. I told her that Hannah was getting 5 shots today and I was nervous because I didn't want to see her in pain. She said, "You are going to have "fun" this eveing". I didn't know what she was talking about. 6:30pm came along and the crying started. I could tell this was different than her normal evening crankiness. WOW!! I tried holding her at different tiems and she wanted nothing to do with me. All she wanted was her Dad. Did she remember that I took her to the evil doctor's office? Finally at 10:30pm Hannah went to sleep in Daddy's arms and then later ending up on his chest. Even Mom couldn't fix the pain she was in. After she went to bed she actually slept really good only waking up once at 3am to eat a half a meal thanks to Mr. Tylenol. She has to endure these nasty shots at 4, 6 and 15 months next time. I am not looking forward to it. I am suppose to help with taking the pain away not leading her into it, right?

It's the worst part about mom-hood!
After she gets her shots, try to rub the shot sites as often as possible. This will prevent the painful bumps from forming and tends to relieve the pain later. That and the 24 hours of tylenol are the only way we survived.
I can't believe she's grown that much in two months! Wow!
Er, that was me...
