Her first smile caught on camera

Aunt Genelle swaddled the little one

Last night Genelle came over to visit us. It was a very interesting evening. First, Molly got out of the house and Genelle spent a good 20-30 minutes trying to get her back in. Well, there was a big puddle in front of our house filled with dirty, gross water. Molly thought it would be fun to splash in it and then stare at us like, "ha, ha, ha, I am playing in the water and you can't catch me." So, after I finished tending to my daughter I took a walk to look for this rebellious dog. Genelle was trying to get her into our neighbor's, Kim and Jeromy's, fenced-in area and then shut the gate while she was inside. She wasn't cooperating. So, I tried it...thank goodness it worked! I guess she trusted me. Later on, for punishment, we gave her a bath!

But...the most exciting thing that happened was...Genelle and I had a photo shoot of Hannah and we caught her darling little smile on camera! We knew she could do it but had not proof. But this was such a wonderful moment for Jonathan, Genelle and I. It is amazing how much newborns can change. More and more everyday she seems to be more aware of her surroundings and the people around her.

Today she went for her 1 month shot. It wasn't fun. I can't believe how hard it is to hear your baby in pain. She recovered though and slept a lot of the day. She got weighed at 9 pounds (55% in her age bracket) and she is 22 1/2 inches (95% in her age bracket). So, she gained 2 pounds and 2 1/2 inches since her last check up three weeks ago!
